Do you love the smell of wood, the feeling of working with your hands and making something that stays forever?
In this programme, we train skilled professionals who specialise in woodworking. Wood is a beautiful and versatile material that is becoming increasingly valuable. Professionals with the right knowledge and skills, combined with an eye for quality, can transform wood into beautiful products.
During the programme, you will learn how to create unique, high-quality wooden products, such as a lighting object or a home accessory.

What do I learn?
You will learn modern and traditional woodworking techniques and how to apply them in practice. You will spend a lot of time working in the woodworking workshop. You will also develop the skills you need to work as a self-employed professional. Of course, you will also take general subjects such as Dutch, English, mathematics and citizenship.
Where do I do my internship?
Based on your interests, you choose an internship in the workshops of interior design companies or other companies where products are made of wood.
What do I need?
Materials excite your curiosity and you like to discover the possibilities of tools and machines. You have technical and spatial insight and enjoy working with your hands. You have an eye for detail, always aim for top quality and you are creative.
What can I do after SintLucas?
After completing the programme, you will be able to independently create wooden products. You will combine traditional craftsmanship with modern woodworking machinery to produce high-quality, bespoke work.
You can work as a self-employed craftsman in your own workshop or as an employee at a company that creates interiors or other wooden products. Many graduates do both: they work part-time for a company while also running their own workshop. Continuing your studies at an art academy, such as Willem de Kooning Academy, Design Academy Eindhoven or ArtEZ, is of course also an option.
How registration and admission works
From 30 October 2026, you can apply through the website and you will receive an invitation for a matching interview. You can bring along creative work or complete an assignment, after which you will receive either a positive or negative study recommendation. You are always eligible for admission and make your own informed choice. Read more about application and admission here.
