Our inspiring learning and working environments

SintLucas offers leading education. The quality of the learning and working environment is an important precondition for this. SintLucas strives to be an inspiring environment in which sharing knowledge and meeting people are central.

Inspiring work environment

SintLucas strives to be an inspiring environment in which pupils, students, employees can develop to their full potential and external parties like to come for cooperation. A nice place with good study opportunities, facilities and spaces to meet and share knowledge.

SintLucas has:

  • 4 Buildings in Boxtel, containing studios, a digital workshop and craft workshop;
  • 1 Building in the middle of Strijp-S in Eindhoven, containing the Makerspace, theatre and (photo) studios;
  • Spaces in the Microlab between other companies.

Just like education, the buildings keep changing to suit the wishes and requirements of our time. When it comes to sustainability, we also continue to develop. We don’t want to keep doing the same tomorrow as today.

Boxtel

Boxtel is home to the studios and teaching spaces for our craft, creative courses: Spatial Design and Design and Craft.

Eindhoven

In Eindhoven, the school is located at Strijp-S, Eindhoven's urban and cultural hotspot. Here you will find the creative, technical programmes and SintLucas vmbo.

Like education, buildings continue to change to suit the needs and requirements of the times.

Collaboration

Cooperation with the field is important for the development of our students, pupils and staff. The buildings lend themselves well to knowledge events, exhibitions, lectures or other events where meeting and sharing knowledge are central. Both Boxtel and Eindhoven have fine gardens where events are organised every summer. In Eindhoven, for example, we collaborate with Natlab during the outdoor films, in Boxtel with Podium Boxtel or the annual event ‘Proeftuin’.

Business-to-business education

Since the 2022-2023 school year, about 250 creative talents have been studying in the Microlab in over 900 square metres. The directions ‘Crossmedia design and ‘Creative technologies’ have settled here for the next few years. A conscious choice, to connect education and the professional field even better. The Microlab is also used for all training and courses of NEXT by SintLucas.

Mural Flow

Kaspar van Leek and Niels van Swaemen from Studio Giftig transformed the grey wall you see when you walk onto our property in Boxtel into a colourful mural called “Flow”.

Because we also like to show on the outside of our building what kind of school we are, we chose this mural that depicts the essence of our courses: creativity, technology and craft. Studio Giftig created the design together with students, staff and Happy Cactus (marketing agency). Studio Giftig was chosen because Niels is a former student. He took the course at the Grafisch Lyceum in Eindhoven. The wall is forty metres long and 6.70 metres high at its highest point. It took Kaspar and Niels two weeks and 150 spray cans to spray the gigantic mural on the side wall.
