Transferring from regular education to SintLucas vmbo (provided there are places available) is possible in grades 1 and 2 until November, 6th 2026, or at the start of grade 3.
At SintLucas vmbo, a programme of testing and conclusion (PTA) starts in year 3. As a result, it is not yet possible to enter in year 4.
SintLucas vmbo is a creative vmbo where we offer a framework vocational, mixed or theoretical learning programme and where you are trained for the creative industry. We offer the Media, Design and ICT profile, or MVI for short. This means that in addition to the creative subjects, you will eventually take exams in Dutch, English, Nask1, maths and economics or history and BTE for the mixed programme. To make your school career as successful as possible and prepare you well for our vmbo, we work with a creative intake. This is how we look at your creative talent.
At SintLucas we work with an extended bridging class. This means that students of the various levels in year 1 and 2 sit together in the same class. The level in which we indicate this is KGT, framework vocational programme, mixed programme, theoretical programme. In year 3 and 4, you follow the framework vocational programme or the mixed programme. Pupils following the theoretical programme (extra subject economics or history) are in the same class as pupils following the mixed programme.

Apply for school year 2025-2026
The application week for secondary school students who want to transfer to another school will take place in May 2027. The exact dates will be announced at a later date.
Parents/carers register the student through LDOS and enter three preferred schools. If you do not have an LDOS parent code because your school is outside the Eindhoven Kempenland partnership (the RSV-PVO Eindhoven Kempenland includes schools in the following municipalities: Waalre, Veldhoven, Valkenswaard, Son en Breugel, Reusel – De Mierden, Oirschot, Eindhoven, Eersel, Bladel, Best, Nuenen, Gerwen, and Nederwetten, Bergeijk, Heeze-Leende), you can use this link on our website to schedule an appointment to visit our school during registration week to fill out your preference list digitally at our school (Torenallee 75, Eindhoven). Please bring your ID or passport and a document confirming the recommendation from your current secondary school so that we can assist you with the registration process.
We also ask that you complete the registration form and email it to vmboaanmelden@sintlucas.nl. Your current school can then prepare the transfer file in LDOS.
