As an All-round media maker, you realise digital files. This could be, for example, an (interactive) brochure, packaging, poster, app or website.
You often work from a rough design created by a designer. If you do not work with a designer, you will be able to make a proposal for a cross-media expression independently. Your main tool is a computer (laptop) with professional software for, among other things, layout and image editing, and you learn to apply interactivity. We also call this Digital Publishing.
You will create attractive and interactive media and work with various software programmes. You are interested in new media and technological developments.

What am I doing?
You start by researching the target group, the event and the products or services the client wants to display. Based on this research and your concept, you create a design that includes a mood map, a lighting plan and a provisional layout of the space. With a model, 3D visualisation or VR application, you make your design come to life.
What am I making?
Among other things, you will design and create sets for festivals or theatre, exhibition stands for companies, exhibitions for museums and corporate and product presentations.
What am I learning?
You develop knowledge and skills in 2D and 3D visualisation, VR/AR, composition and typography, lighting, colours, materials and calculation, and learn programmes such as Sketch-up and Vectorworks. Of course, general subjects such as Dutch and maths are also on the programme.
Where do I do my internship?
Depending on your interests and learning wishes, you choose an internship placement that suits you. For example, at a company focused on stage design for festivals, a stand-building company or in exhibition or set-building.
What should I be able to do and like?
For this field, it is important that you know how to use shape, colour, materials and communication to create a spatial experience. It goes without saying that you have constructive and spatial insight to keep safety in mind as well. In addition, materials and their applications hold no secrets for you. You dare to experiment, have an eye for sustainability and keep up with the latest trends.
