As a cross-media designer, you know how to deploy (combinations) of graphic, audiovisual and interactive design in an effective and catchy way.
You will work with ideas and develop them into a combination of graphic, audiovisual and interactive expressions for a variety of media. You will also learn to present your concept to the client in a catchy way.
With all the technological developments, the number of media is also growing: apps, websites, games and video, in addition to printed matter. It is important that these media reinforce each other in the image that organisations present to the outside world.

What am I doing?
As a cross-media designer, you and a team make creative expressions for different media. You do this starting from a basic idea, a concept. It usually starts with research into the client and the target group you want to reach. You then develop tools that perfectly convey the message of a client or a product. To do this, you combine graphic, audiovisual and interactive media.
During the programme, you will learn various skills to present your ideas. Then you get to work on the definitive design and realisation, with the design, images and typography appearing in all communications.
What am I making?
You design and create a combination of graphical, interactive and audiovisual media expressions (such as logo, corporate identity, infographics, website, app or video) and complete campaigns.
What am I learning?
You will develop professional skills within design such as typography, colour, copywriting, image, interaction and sound and you will learn subjects such as marketing and communication. Of course, general subjects such as Dutch and maths are also on the programme.
Where do I do my internship?
Depending on your interests and learning wishes, you will do an internship at an advertising or communication agency or in the design or communication department at a company.
What should I be able to do and like?
You have a feel for form, (moving) images, typography and colour. You are also interested in communication and can put yourself in the position of the target group. It goes without saying that you continuously follow media developments and possibilities.
What can I do after SintLucas?
You can work as a cross-media designer, concept developer or (junior) art director. With your diploma in your pocket, you can also continue your studies at, for instance, an art academy or training in the field of communication or media design.
